ASTM D5025 Standard Aviation Cable Combustion Testing Equipment / Flammability Chamber
1. Control System
(1) Power supply voltage: AC 220V 50Hz
(2) Flame height is adjustable.
(3) The time and duration of flame ignition can be adjusted. When the fire time is up to a predetermined time, the fire will be stopped automatically.
2. Combustion Chamber
(1) The test case shell is made of stainless steel plate.
(2) Metal shield: high 600 ± 10 mm, width 360 ± 10 mm, deep 250 ± 10 mm. The front and the top are open and the bottom is closed.
3. Burner
(1) Burner: Standard propane gas combustion lamp, external flame is 175 mm, internal flame is 55 mm.
(2) The angle between the longitudinal axis and the horizontal surface of the burner is 90 ℃.
4. Instructions
(1) The time of fire: The burning time of the sample.
(2) Delay time: The duration of flame remaining on the sample after the blowlamp is stopped for fire.
(3) Stop burning: When the remaining flame on the sample is extinguished, press the "stop burning" button.
(4) Stop: Similar to reset, after the test, if you want to do the test again, press the "stop" button to zero the data on the timer, press "start" to do the test again.
(5) The panel operation: Press the "start" button, the spray lamp starts to ignite, the "fire time" begins timing, after time is up, the spray lamp automatically stops the fire, the "delay time" begins timing, pay attention to observing the remaining flame on the sample burning time, when the flame on the sample is extinguished, press "delay time".
5. Sample Preparation
(1) Sampling, prepare 3 samples from the finished wire and cable. The shielding layer on the specimen should be cut off.
(2) Sample length: When the sample is placed horizontally, the specimen is about 250 mm long. (for example, figure 1)
When the specimen is placed at 60 degrees with the horizontal plane, the length of the specimen is about 600 mm. (for example, figure 2)
